Fusion North and South Facilities Vandalized—Reward Offered For the third time in the less than six months a field at the Fusion South Complex has been has been vandalized, prompting a the Fusion Soccer Board to offer a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of this damage. This time extensive damage was done Field #4 by what appears to be a full sized pick-up truck. The damage is significant enough that the ability to use the field during the upcoming spring of 2009 season is questionable. With regard to the damage done prior to the most recent attack, Fusion Soccer Academy with the assistance of Avon Police, were able to catch and prosecute the offenders. If you have any information regarding the most recent damage, please contact either Bruce McGathy at mcgathey_bruce_l@lilly.com or the Avon Police at (317) 272-4485 In a separate incident, the Fusion North Complex was hit by vandals doing substantial damage to Field #5. In what could best be described as an action with malice and forethought intended, someone drove through the locked gate at Fusion North, breaking down the fence and then did significant damage to the full-sided field #5 and then in completion of their action, they drove through the full-sided goal, tearing down the net. The damage done will likely render Field #5 unplayable for the Spring 2009, which begins in March. As with the damage to Fusion South, a $500 reward is also being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator of the damage at Fusion North. If you have any information, please contact Vince Parker at Parkers4Jesus@yahoo.com Opportunities will be upcoming for volunteers to assist in the repair of the damage done to both Fusion South Field #4 and Fusion North Field #5 with the hope of making it both fields playable for the Spring 2009 season. Please be on the look-out for these opportunities and be willing to volunteer.
