. Upon
entering the website you will be asked to participate in a series of
evaluations and a teaching module. Not only is this a means for you to
improve your knowledge of exertional heat illnesses, this is also a
research project. We have collaborated with faculty and students at
Indiana State University to help enhance other learning opportunities in
the future. Data collected during your participation will help in the
development process.
This
research project is being conducted by Dr. Lindsey Eberman, Adam Simpson,
and Madeline McGuire of Indiana State University. The objective of this
research project is to attempt to understand coaches' knowledge and
perceptions about exertional heat illnesses.
There
are no known risks if you decide to participate in this research study, nor
are there any costs for participating in the study. Although the direct
information collected regarding perception may not benefit you directly,
you will be exposed to the most current information regarding the
prevention, recognition, and treatment of exertional heat illnesses.
